- In the Miscellaneous group (Media and Content in SharePoint 2010), select Content Editor Web Part and click Add. The web part is added to the zone you selected.
- On the web part’s edit menu, select Modify Shared Web Part (Click here to add new content in ). The Content Editor Web Part properties pane (Editing Tools ribbon in SharePoint 2010) appears.
- Click the Source Editor (Edit HTML Source in SharePoint 2010) button. The Text Entry – Webpage Dialog (Text Entry – HTML source in SharePoint 2010) dialog box appears.
-
Open the following file from the distribution package in any text editor:
<Setup>\GcfService\EventHandler\contentEditorScripts.js
- Copy all of the script text to the Clipboard and paste it into the Text Entry – Webpage Dialog (Text Entry – HTML source in SharePoint 2010) dialog.
- Click Save to save your changes.
- Click Exit Edit Mode to save the page.
If you will be configuring multiple libraries for collaboration, you can save the library that you have just configured as a template to more easily configure the other libraries.
The basic steps to use an existing GCF/SharePoint document library as a template are:
- Save the document library as template.
- Create a new library with the saved template.
- Attach the event receiver to the document library as described above.
